HOWEVER...
In the case of the pictures with the kids smiling - I take exception!
Enjoy your family - my kids are now 38 to 42 years old. It happens quickly my friend.
I cracked up at those pictures because for one they had chocolate and marshmallow all over their faces. Two they were shutting their eyes because of the iphone flash...but most of all because they just looked so darn happy. And let me tell you that little 2 year old can have some moments when she isnt happy!
I got my TT, fire wood, and everything all ready to go in front of my house ready to go for this weekend. I just hope Momma won't let any possible rain stop us.

Congratulations, You just have to look at the smiles on your kids faces to know that you have done the right thing.
Please enjoy (the kids will only be young for too short time)

Your story sounds almost identical to mine, except I bought my first used trailer almost 5 years ago. We upgrade to a bigger new one a couple years ago. I use it for camping/hunting/fishing/ and everything else you mentioned. I have 3 kids upper teens and when they come to me a tell me how much fun they are having that's cool. I haven't had mine out since Oct. However I have a spring break trip in a few weeks to Monument Valley. Don't sweat the small snafus that come up, almost every trip something went awry. Over all you will have a ball.

Great investment! I wish we could have gotten an RV when our kids were small.
Don't let rain stop you. We packed up in the rain last Monday after a weekend at Lake Somerville. It was a mess. I had to wait 2 days before I could open up the compartments and dry everything out. I would do it all again! It was sooo worth it!

We ended up going out again last weekend. Interesting and more challenging. The site they gave us has the power meter hook up far away so I had to back up the TT just perfect so my cord would reach. I think my cord is 10 to 12 feet...I'm going to get a longer one so I don't have to deal with that again. The other bad thing is it started pouring down rain. So we mainly just stayed inside. I also discovered that my water pump had a small leak coming from the screwing water hose line...I have since took it off and screwed it back on but I'm not sure that did anything...going to get some plumbers tape and see if that "seals" it. Otherwise I guess i'd need a new hose for that section.

Welcome, how fun!
We started camping a lot more about 2 years ago when we purchased our 1st class c. We just upgraded and plan on going even more! Our kids are 7 and 10 and they love to camp.
I had the same problem with the hose leaking on our last class c RV. I had to really screw it on super tight or it would leak. It was a pita. I always thought I would break it or my hand trying to get it off.
Have fun!!
