I'm going to need new tires on my van this spring and wondering if anyone has suggestions. It is a'03 Pleasure Way on a 2002 Dodge Ram 3500 chassis.

Load Range E is mandatory.

Tirerack.com has an excellent guide / info and also user reviews --- which may be biased... but why not check for a few common makes first?

Whatever you buy, insist on tires no more than 2 years from date of manufacture which you can decode by reading the code on each tire by law.

I have a 2001 GWVan on a 2001 Dodge chassis and when I replaced my tires I bought Toyo . They have been an excellent choice. Better ride, and as Toyo was designed as a truck tire, they are the perfect fit for the RV

I bought Toyo Open Country tires for our 2001 PW Excel a couple years ago too, they are an excellent tire and worth the extra cost.

It may matter to you where / how you get the tire serviced / replaced.

Many smaller brands are great until you find that there is a week or longer wait for a replacement tire (if it can be found at all).

Also check the warranty --- how they pro rate the replacement, and how much the insurance costs if you buy road hazard insurance.

Being a lazy slug, I just buy from Walmart / Sams Club and get national service wherever I go.

Free flat fixes, etc.

I have Toyo Open Country also and they run fine but I really wanted the Toyo Open Country HT Tuff Duty which is engineered for high torque diesel truck duty. Unfortunately they weren't available at the time. The Toyo company is very accommodating and helpful by the way.

Whatever you do, do not consider Hankook tires. Their tires are dreadful and have a high failure rate in the class B duty rv use. The only thing worse than their tires is their total lack of customer support. It is non existent!! Been there done that!

If you have Toyo and purchased on the west coast, did you purchase from Les Schwab. The last tires I purchased on my previous Class C were Toyo that I purchased from Les Schwab and I was very pleased with them.
