Welcome to the forum.....and don't be hating to say you are a newbie...we all were at one time or another, and we can all still learn a thing or two

As for that pole, are you sure it's not under a mattress or hidden somewhere else in the RV? You would be amazed at what you will find, as you search all over that new2U RV.

I don't have a HTT, so can't give you much help, but I'm sure that there are folks who can.

Again, Welcome

Hello neighbor,

Welcome to the forum and as PapPappy said: We've all been Newbies at some point, and we're still learning new things today.
The pole may be in the camper, or maybe in the outside front compartment if there's one. If you still can't find it, perhaps you can call the dealer who might know where it is.

If you can find out what the pole looks like, maybe you can have one made, or maybe contact the mfgr of a similar HTT, and get one from them.

I think a lot of these poles are kind of universal. Haven't been able to find it on the internet. If you have one of the poles (assuming only one is missing) take it to a large rv dealer and see if they can match it up. Otherwise find an electrician that can bend EMT (thin wall conduit) and have him bend one up. Shouldn't take him more than a few minutes to make one just like the old one. If yours has one of those snap buttons to hold it into a hole in a clip you might just have to drill a hole and put a pin in it. Shouldn't be too hard to figure something out.

I can guess which dealer you won't be buying your next trailer from.
There are 2 dealers showing in your area. Which ever one you didn't get robbed at, call them and ask them the cost of a shepard's hook or tent bow. They should be fairly reasonable. Most on the market are adjustable too. Hope that helps!
Welcome aboard as well. Remember a bad day of camping still usually beats a good day at work!

just want to make sure of what you're talking about.

on hybrids, there's no pole to push out the "bed". there are poles on older hybrids to support the bunk end platform. there are what are called shepherd's poles that both hybrids and popups use to push out the canvas tent end.

so which is it?

you might find another hybrid dealer that could supply one that comes close to matching yours. do you have another one from the other bunk end, to match up with?
by the way, you may be the only Coachmen Cadet owner here. don't think i've ever seen anyone else post here, that owns one.

Did you stop in at an RV supply shop? I know they can get the plastic ends (if we're talking the Shepards pole) and should be able to tell you if they can get the whole pole.

Hi Jeff,
We're not too far away........ we're in Gray.
If you're talking about the pole that keeps the tent end up, start calling a few scrap yards.......who knows! Most of those poles look the same, maybe with a few adjustments.
You can take a ride or call Lee's Family Trailer in Windham. They might help you. They have a few scrap trailers in the field.
