What place do you think is better to stay in the winter, Yuma or Casa Grande Arizona ?

Not sure exactly what you're looking for in a wintering location.

We stayed a week or so in Yuma, Fortuna Foothills. Not bad. Weather was nice, but it was pretty boring if staying for more than a week - in my view.

After Yuma we stayed over a month in Tucson and absolutely loved it there. Wonderful weather. You can just hang out and relax quietly if you want to... and when you want great restaurants, shopping, excursions, sight seeing, whatever, you can have that too. Best of both worlds. And if you should need medical care - you don't want to be in Yuma. Tucson has a lot of excellent medical care right at hand.

We plan to return to Tucson next winter for a month or so... we just loved it there.

On average, Yuma is a little warmer that Casa Grande in January and February. That being said, we prefer Casa Grande.

I find Yuma very bland and baron, windy+ boring.Iam sure even little casa Grande could be better but then We are spoiled after wintering in indio for 5 years.Yuma though is all a lot of snow birds can afford so that where they go.

Taking all things in consideration, I would pick Casa Grande. We spend a lot of time here.

Ditto on Casa Grande. We've never spent more than 2 weeks in Yuma, and that was about as much as we could find things to keep us amused. Casa Grande's much more alive, but Yuma has the better weather (and the closer border crossing if you need meds or eyeglasses).

I am SOOOOO glad to hear others were as bored as I was in Yuma!!! The only thing in Yuma was going across the border and going into the Yuma Territorial Prison. I'd pick Casa Grande next time.

I don't understand. We have been in Yuma for five weeks. We are at the south mesa Rv park and love it. We have been to Mexico a few times, to all the casino's been to a date farm for date milk shakes been to Castle dome, Their are thre flea markets. Then the swimming pool, Bingo,31 sinning groups come in and sing. Then all the shopping and dinners out. Maybe you just hit the wrong time or place

Both are good locations. Split your first winter and stay in Yuma during the coldest weather and Casa Grande the rest. The next winter you will know where you want to stay, it may even be half and half again. You really can't lose on either. Yes in case you are wondering, we are full-time AZ residents.
