Bought a new Chavy pickup. It has no cigarette lighter. Not even a power port in the dash.

Also no ashtray.

What do you smokers do?

And is that right? No ash tray? My last truck had a little round one that fit in a drink holder. Kept my change in it.

Yep, actually drove to all of these places---in the last eight years. Missed Rhode Island and New Jersey.

That's hard to believe, Fords are littered with them. On the dash, in the console, and behind the console. With USB and 120V outlets too. There must be some on the Chevy. No actual lighter tho on Fords.

These days lighter and ash trays are a "smokers" option. Costs you more to have them.

My Ford has plenty of power ports but no lighter proper and no ash tray. Just a sign of the times. Smokers are now anathema in our nanny society.

My '09 Chevy HHR has no ashtray, but it does have a 12v port for powering the GPS or other device. Car manufacturers have determined that most people don't smoke and have swapped that space for other purposes. It's not the nanny state as it has not been mandated my his highness.

For the 2007 and the 2008 Chevy trucks I purchased the ashtray and lighter were part of an obscure 'option' part of a 'group' I did not purchase.

Anyway a couple of BIC's and a slightly open window would be my choice if I still smoked.

Hi.
It's the vehicle manufactures way of telling you to stop starting road side fires or Butt Out.

My 04 150 has a lighter, and a removable ashtray, that became storage when removed
