Hello all. My name is Scott. My wife and I just purchased a Wildwood 19XLT TT by Forrest River.

I just joined today. I've been lurking for a few weeks. We took the TT for a shakedown cruise this past weekend. We headed up to Silver Falls State Park here in Oregon. The drive down was a little stressful since it was raining and it was a curvy two lane road and it was dark. We managed to get setup pretty quickly and we woke up to snow on the ground Saturday. Everything went well. We brought the trailer home in one piece and the marriage in tact so all is well. My 5 year old son LOVED the trailer and hardly wanted to go outside. I'd like to thank everyone on this board. I learned a lot and was pretty well educated by the time I rolled in to camp.

Keep a journal in the RV all the time and record your adventures from each trip, no matter how short. Include anyone you meet, or interesting things you've seen. It's fun to go back yrs later and read them...or just read them on a rainy day. It generates a lot of memories and conversations. Anyone who stays in the camper has to make an entry. It's become a fun part of our camping experience.

Thanks everyone! I've already booked 5 trips and I'm trying to get a few more in. I really like the shoulder seasons and that's why I bought the trailer. Oregon is awesome for a variety of camping opportunities, we have the coast, the mountains, the desert. I've got at least 1 trip planned and booked for each.

Nice rig you've got and congrats. You'll have a lot of fun as you already know. 5 trips planned? Wow! You're hooked now!

Howdy Neighbor,

we just took the plunge 2 weeks ago and bought our first TT. Congrats and I am super jealous that you already got your first trip in!!! Welcome to the site, super helpful people here and tons of information. My whole life I have lived in Oregon and I have never been to Silver Falls State Park (my grandparents were dairy farmers in Silverton just miles from there too!!!).

Damn work, I need to hit the road!

Happy camping!
