I got one of those black bottles with the spout, like the old gas stations used to use, but I haven't a clue how it works! It came in a plain cardboard box with no pictures or directions. Would anyone care to enlighten me?
I built a light aluminum tray which has a ledge that hooks over the bottom of battery box door. Has a 1/2 in pvc pole that holds it up. I can slide the batterys out of the box on this tray to service them.

Did not read all the replies but CW and others have a battery watering system. Simply drop the uptake end into a gallon of distilled water and squeeze the bulb. When it gets firm the batteries are filled to level.Push the little disconnect and cap the end and it is finished.
Auto section of your big box store. There are funnels with a 12 or 14" tube...possibly intended to get transmission fluid into a dip stick tube. Also does great to get some bleach into the holding tank for the annual flush.

Thanks.
Fill the jug with distilled water.
Put spout of jug in battery cell
Push down.....spout is spring loaded
When water in cell is up to end of spout (which is against slot in cell) the water will quit flowing
Remove spout.
Repeat on other cells.
You might want to check to see how much water you need in the battery. You can flood some batteries by adding too much water and it really reduces the ability of them to hold a charge. After I flooded a new interstate deep cycle I found out the water level was supposed to be just about a half inch over the plates. Not up to the bottom of the holes.
