Drive yourself batty worrying about those junk gauges and trying to keep them clean.......GEO Method, ice cubes, $ on sensor cleaners, rinsing/dumping repeat etc.

OR enjoy your camping
When toilet 'burps'...dump black tank
When sink drains slower..dump grey tank

Always dump black when almost full/full......the fuller the better. Then rinse....clean enough.

My manual says to add salt and let it slosh around for awhile. Good luck.

put in a quicky flush and use it every time you dump. nothing else even comes close to keeping your tank clean and your sensors working

We have not had working gages in over ten years. We tried a lot of things when we first started pulling fifth wheels back in 1996. Nothing worked. Now we don't miss those stupid gages at all.

Our fresh water tank is made of polyprop and is see-thru. So, we can visually check that. And, we soon learned how to estimate when the foul water tanks should be emptied.

I use a wand down the toilet and it fixes the issue and cleans the tank out.

I have personally tried the 'dump the ice down the tank' method and it worked for me. I try not to dump until the black tank is full. In fact if I want to dump and it isn't full, I stand there with my foot on the flusher until it is full and then dump. The gauges still don't always read correct, but that is just the way it is. A lot of people swear by the 'Calgon" method but I have never tried it.

My sensors never worked. We bought the trailer used. Couple of times I goofed and ended up with water in the tub. Helps you learn quick how to know when tanks need emptying.

Those darned sensors have never worked on my Class C, Class A, and now FW, except the clean water tank. I've finally given up trying all the cleaning wands and ice cube thing.
