I just read a news story about Archie Comics. Ol' Arch has been around for 80 years, but the cover picture looked like he's taken good care of himself. Hair is still red, but I bet that's a dye job. The shock was the price on the cover. $1.50 - are they kidding? BTW, Betty and Veronica haven't aged a bit.

Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.

Yes, fond memories of Veronica and Betty. Sex appeal was more in the mind than today. Nothing left for the imagination today.

My 2 uncles drove busses and passengers would leave comic books & magazines all over the place. They collected them & passed boxes of them off to us kids. Oh, do I wish I had them now ! Probably worth some $$$

When I was 8 yrs. old I was in the hospital for 5 months.......Mom would bring me a new comic to read......Archie, Superman, Batman, The Ghost Stories, Fantastic Four. Read them once and then they would get packed away.....boxes of them.

And every time we moved those boxes got carted around. Went into the NAVY and when I got out came back to visit the folks......they had moved one more time. Asked about the comics and Dad said "Son we hauled them boxes around for years....this time we got rid of all that stuff".

Woulda, shoulda, coulda.......

I LOVE Archie and the gang! I've been getting them since I was about 10. I must have 100s of them! Mom gets me one for Christmas every year. Agnes

Am I thinking right - many years ago was there an Archie TV show - not cartoon but real people ?

There was an Archie TV show, but with actors, not real people.
