An old man walking up the street dragging a rope goes to the bar and gets a beer, the bartender gives it to him and sees hes dragging a rope with him. He ask the old man why are you draging that rope with you? The old man says, sonny you ever try pushing one?

That rope went into the bar and the bartender told him they didn't serve his kind in there. The rope goes outside, ties himself in a knot, ruffles up his ends a little and goes back into the bar. The bartender says, didn't I just throw you out of here? The rope says "I'm a frayed knot"!

Anaro: I went into a meeting one day when my head was about to explode from crazy events at work and I told the guy sitting beside me to tell me a funny story. This was his funny story, I'll never forget that day.

You wanna push a rope, you gotta pour water on it and freeze it first.

My first time I heard that rope joke was in 1979. I have told it several times and only a few have gotten the point. It is one that you have to wait for the reaction. Still, it is funny. A great pun. Probably better in print than told.
