The console in our Coachmen Mirada leaves a lot to be desired. So I would like to build something more functional but not to big and heavy as it sits on the engine cover/doghouse. Has anyone made anything? If so, could you post pictures as to give me ideas to reflect on?

Can you use velcro and find a nice basket with dividers in it or some type of shoebox bin?

The office supply section has all sizes of office supply caddies, like smoked black plastic.

I haven't checked, but a good place to look for ideas would be the custom van places, if you can find one. If you don't find anything you like, you might get some ideas. Some places can custom build one for you.

If you have woodworking skills, I built one and would send you a pic & dimensions.

center floor console

We bought one of these and have moved it from our Class C to 2 separate Class A's. It works great and definitely adds cup storage plus an entire compartment for other things that there just isn't any place to put it.

Thank you all for you suggestions.

pkunk, I do some woodworking. I have a small shop set up in the garage, TS,BS,planner, jointer, and various other tools. I was looking for something to make rather than purchase. So I would be very interested in the picture and dimensions of what you built. Thank you.

Here's the one I came up with:

Made from a couple of oak stair treads.
