My dad had one like that it had extra tall cabover with E W sleeping for mom & dad and a N S bunk on each side above them. It was huge with a side door.

Most likely that was Kamp King's huge sky lounger. They even made one where the top roof section folded up on the cabover and had a wall with sliding glass doors that turned the roof into an upstairs patio.

They used to market them for 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks, and in the majority case of the time, the 1-ton was a single rear wheel

From my blog entry about Kamp King Koaches

Holy huge Batman!

So that top portion was a fold out? Were the sides hard?

Yup, much like the Snap-N-Nap (Amerigo's name for it) in the rear, it was all hard walled.

Dang, there was a guy on here a year or so back that was looking high and low for one of these Del Rey Sky Loungers.

BiGG, that was his name, I just sent him the link, but I don't know if his account still exists here, every time I try to click it, it comes up as "Member cannot be found". If anyone knows this guy, drop him a line on this old girl.

It's a Del Rey Sky Lounge Tri-Level, the rarest of Rare Truck Campers.

I THINK I sent a private message to BIGG. I left clicked on the actual user name and it gave me an option to send a private message. It should go to BIGG's email.
I have not heard from BIGG yet.
