If you do so....keep in mind the added weight ..that stuff is not light. Looks nice though.

Just make sure your trailer has enough CCC to carry the extra weight.

If you want the look of wood, and want to ensure your slide will still work, why not go with something like this. I'm sure you can get it at any home improvement store.

When the time comes that our 5'er needs the carpet replaced, we will do it with vinyl sheet goods with either a wood floor look or ceramic tile look. The laminate will add unwanted weight and the Allure is not recommended for use in the RV due to the temperature changes.

My brother in law added wood or laminate flooring to his Wanderlodge bus. But he does not have any slide outs. Looks good also. But I'm with the others. For the TT, I would do vinyl look a like. They have the peel and stick planks...

I installed an "engineered" wood floor in my TT. Love it. . The floor is only 10mm (?) thick about the same thickness as the old carpet and does not weigh too much. Glued it down -- added a few small brad type nails to each strip.
I have two slides, Before installing the floor, I check to make sure that the slide would clear the floor when it was inside. I was able to adjust my slide up about 1/4 inch. The slide does rub the floor at one spot.
The main advantage of a wood floor is that it is VERY simple to clean. With all the dirt tracked into the trailer (along with road dust from some roads) a simple sweep with a broom get ALL the dirt out. No like having dirt in the carpet the the vacuum will not get out.
Please give me enough troubles, uncertainty, problems, obstacles and STRESS so that I do not become arrogant, proud, and smug in my own abilities, and enough blessings and good times that I realize that someone else is in charge of my life.
