That is because you can overload the front axle with the tc and snow plow on the truck at the same time.
Good Luck,
Brad

My 2005 had the same paper in the glove box. It handles a 4000 pound camper just fine. On one side of the paper it said that the truck was not recommeded to carry a cabover camper. On the other side it said how to load a cabover camper on this truck. Go figure, a bunch of legal mumbo jumbo.

Congratulations! Glad you didn't let a piece of paper ruin your truck & camper deal. I look at it this way, there is a sticker on my door that says the payload on my truck is 4600 lbs. Payload is payload it just depends on where and how you carry it. So other than the center of gravity changing along with some added wind resistance the truck doesn't know (or care) if it's carrying 4600 lbs of feathers or 4600 lbs of Arctic Fox. So why should it even matter or be recommended to you what your payload can and can't be as long as you keep it within limits? You compensate for elevated center of gravity by driving carefully which you should be doing anyway when loaded that heavily. You compensate for the added wind resistance by spending more money at the pump . Go enjoy your new truck and camper and don't worry about it, that large alternator and skid plates might come in handy.
Just a side note, when I weighed my truck & TC last week in Oregon I found that with my 5000+ lb AF in the bed it neither loaded or unloaded weight at the front axle. The rear axle takes all of it with my set-up and still leaves me 700 lbs to spare back there. I also still have 400 lbs of front axle capacity to spare. So my point is check your weights after you get your camper and you may be surprised to find out that you can go truck camping and also be able to plow snow at the same time!

That's why I didn't get a Dodge when we were looking for a truck camper.

You know I had the same concern when we bought our truck 4 months ago. Sales people and dealers are clueless. I called Chrysler at 1-800-521-9922, you'll go through some prompts but be persistant. After several people and a few days wait, they finally told me what you now know...that they don't want people to use a snow plow with a TC in the bed, at the same time. Why in the hell they don't just come out and say it that way is beyond me.
Anyway, congratulations! Hooa! Now get some pic's up so we can all enjoy the sights!

Thanks for your encouragement. You made me feel 1000% better. DH said "ask your camper buddies"...I knew you would help.
Great news! Now choosing the camper should be alot of fun. Go for it!
