Loved the video, but it misses the essence of the place: The pine smell, the birds, the wind, the majesty of the waterfalls and cliffs, the Merced River. This is one of those places, much like Zion and Capital Reef, that cannot be fathomed by looking at photographs.

However, the video is very nice. Thank you for sharing it.
I used to live in Yosemite when I was a climber. I can remember looking down on the RV's (they would stop and look up at us too) and saying to myself "they look like little shoe boxes, I would never have on of those things.....". Lesson one, never say never....
Just met my old climbing buddy a few weeks ago in Death Valley. He was tent camping and seemed to enjoy visiting our trailer.

Yes...You almost need to visit in every season. The Fire falls in Feb. are something from another world, Frazil ice flow is unbelievable. The spring run-off and big water falls...you need to see it in the snow, when it's raining and in the warm sunlight. One of the most beautiful places I've ever been to. It's only an hour away and unfortunately, we don't get there often enough!

I agree....my heart does some funky stuff when i stand in the middle of the valley and slowly turn a 360, the smells, the sound, theres very few places that does this to me, The big Sequoia's do it, when the clouds clear and you get a full view of Mt Rainer does it, steping up to the rim of the GC does it, Yellowstone's lower falls does it.
I feel a very close to God when were hiking the A/P or in the Smokeys, or Rocky's, but it must the sudden rush all at once that makes my heart flutter.
It's funny, it's the places i have seen the most vids and pics of and when you finally see it in person it's unbelievable.
pics or vids will never do justice to it.

Stunning video! That said, being in Yosemite is better. I've told people "If God wanted to build a house in the USA, He would put it in Yosemite Valley." Camp on!
