While the video is very good it does not hold a candle to the real thing. The first time I seen Yosemite was in the winter without any tourist around the next was in the summer and the park was very crowded.

Fantastic Video! Thanks for posting! I would say it is the same as I have been to Yosemite at least 80 different times and have experienced virtually everything that there is to do there.

The video adds drama with the time lapse, but with the way winds and clouds move at times even in real time it can look like that.
Just like looking at the Grand Canyon or the Rockies the shear size and grandeur are missing in any picture, no matter how incredible the the photographer and equipment are.
Oh for those that it is on your bucket list it will be there until you see it personally no picture will ever replace that.

Yosemite is a great place. I am really lucky to live so close. It always amazes me to talk to people who live close to Yosemite and never visit the park. You can't make a video like that without starting with a magnificent backdrop. Thanks for sharing the video.

I'm not even going to look at the video and be able to say without a doubt, Yosemite is a lot more beautiful than the video. Video is two demensional (that means flat), Yosemite is multi-demensional. You need to experience the sights, sounds, smells and feel of Yosemite.
Here's a perfect example:
My wife and I were staying in one of the campgrounds on the floor of Yosemite Valley in our TT. In the middle of the night she woke up with heart burn. We find that if she gets cooled down the heart burn will go a way so we decided to drive around the valley in the truck. It was cold and also there was a full moon and absolutely not a cloud in the sky. The moon lit up the valley with a silver blue light. The granite out croppings like Half Dome and El Capitan were Spectacular. The waterfalls were so beautiful in the moonlight. A mist rose above the grass in the meadows. Even the trees seemed more noble than in day light. We saw deer, raccoons, coyotes and other night animals and birds. We were so glad she had heart burn.
I'm a professional videographer and I would not have been able to capture the look and feel of that drive on tape and get the same emotion I felt in real life.
You need to experience Yosemite. I have been there at least 10 times in my life and with each trip I find new and wonderous things.
