I have a 2010 Honda Odyssey I plan to tow 4 wheels down. I have conflicting information from Honda as to feasibility. I have read the blogs saying it is OK as long as you follow the transmission process on page 486 of the owner’s manual and repeat the process every 300 miles or so. What I am looking for is anyone who has towed a 2010 Honda odyssey WITHOUT any issues. Thanks.

Don't know about 2010, but I've been towing a 2009 with no problems whatsover. I use the procedure detailed in the middle of this thread.

Thanks. I was thinking of adding a synthetic auto transmission fluid for some added protection. Did you take any extra precautions to ensure no damage to the tranny? Thanks again.

No, I don't do anything beyond the warmup procedure mentioned, except that I do it more often than recommended (like, every four to five hours, regardless of miles towed).
I researched this whole topic (towing post-2004 Odysseys) pretty thoroughly before purchasing my 2009 (there's a LONG thread about it that you can probably find if you search the archives in this forum). In that research, in this and several other forums, I ran across several people that had extensive experience towing the post-2004's, one of them over 50,000 miles towing. Despite a lot of doomsday predictions from folks uncomfortable with the fact that it isn't factory sanctioned, I couldn't find a single first person report of the slightest problem.

I just got back from a 900 mile round trip towing the van. Followed the procedures and did not have a single issue with the van or the RV. Everything worked great. Thanks again.
