1997 TT with the regular old crank-up antenna. I seem to recall reading about some sort of add-on piece that can be added to this antenna to maybe help reception?
Thanks

It's called the "Wingman", check the Winegard website for details. Yes, It does improve digital station reception.

Be sure and check if you antenna will retrace with the Wingman installed. On our 1999 Motorhome, the antenna stowed right beside the AC, and there was not room for it to clear. On our newer MH, we just installed a new antenna head with the wingman built in. It made a tremendous difference, but I think the wingman was just a small part of it.
When it first came out, there was someone on here that tested it with commercial diagnostic equipment, and did show a positive increase in reception ability.

most dealers carry them, they sell for around $35 to $40. You just pop out the four rubber feet on the lower side of the head and snap the wingman in. very simple

I thought it only attached to a Winegard antenna. Not all batwings are Winegards.

Thanks for the replies. Good call on the antenna type. The trailer is covered now and all the manuals are inside so I can't take a look but I found this old picture and that doesn't look like a winegard antenna does it?

right you are. I think most people use "batwing" as a generic term for the Winegard

I would spend the extra money and replace the whole head with a new Sensar, but don't overlook making certain the cable and connections are good first.
