Wow another great trip report.

When your first job is shoveling fruit of the bo-vine for a dairy farmer every job after is better appreciated.
Believe me!

Having worked on a few Steve the Steamshovel's in Wyoming I can tell you they run on electricity.
See the two poles in your picture, those raise the electric cable so trucks can access the shovel without running over the electric cable.
Running over a trail cable in a mine is a big no no.
Oh yes it is a Steam Shovel if it gets it's electric from a coal fired power plant.
But it would be a Hydro Shovel if the electric comes from Hover Dam.

Thanks for posting Whazoo and I apologize for my mind wanderings but shoveling is a subject I know something about.

I know you are prepared for every thing you may encounter on your amazing adventures. But now you have taken preparation to new heights
with "An emergency backup dog."

Marley our wonder dog, has been pouring over this report, now wondering why we don't have depth in our canine companion job description. Marley, a labradoodle, has been every mile with us, and is a full voting member of the expedition.

Thanks, Dave, for another Whazoo Wingdinger!

Love to all,

Another fantastic Whazoo report - I've only just had a chance to read it - can't afford the roaming rates on the 3G card here in the middle east.

You've excelled yourself with the cow pat hurling and I loved the subtle foothills. Bear's lovely too, but no image manipulation needed there.

I admire you for tackling the rock-crawling in the camper.

Steve.

Fabulous photos, and your usual great special effects! Thanks for a virtual trip into a place that my 2500HD 4x4 Tiger will not be visiting, at least while I own it. And happy anniversary!

The Great Whazoo and Mrs. Whazoo does it again, Another great trip posting and photos to match. I love all the photos of the Saguaro Cactus and of course the night sky photo. I will tell you one thing my friend, I would have been too chicken to drive that road that you came in on, that too was impressive, that is why you live up to your name, The Great Whazoo! Thanks again for posting.

Even better than I had anticipated when I turned on the old machine and happened to see yet another Whazoo trip report. Always makes my day, sir. Your pics and commentary brighten an otherwise dreary afternoon up here in the Northeast. Many many thanks for sharing. By the by, my friend, Happy Anniversary.

Some would say your brilliant reports are the "next best thing" to being there. I'm beginning to think they are better than being there. To experience the trips through your eyes is a pleasure and a privilege.
