You can get a TIP on-line but you have only two choices to turn one in. You can either do it at the border with your RV, or you can wait until you sell/scrap your RV and then do the mail thing with Administración Central de Planeación Aduanera in Mexico City.
The mail-in procedure takes up to 6 weeks to complete, so don't wait until you're heading back into Mexico. Remember, you can't get a new one until the old one has been cleared.

Heading down to Rocky Point next Sunday and dry camping in Why AZ then heading south over the border on Monday morning at 9 AM in groups of 6-8 rigs. We have 22 all together.
We will be staying at Playo de Oro RV Park. 2011 we used The Reef but they weren't sure if they would be open or bankrupted and they wanted payment in full for the 2 week stay. NO WAY!
Playo de Oro asked for $26 and they would hold the spaces for all 22 rigs. That was nice.
Playo de Oro is in town and close to everything.
The Reef is west about 4 miles and not much there except a resterant and bar.
Anyone want to join us we have a few spaces left.

The reef is very open and is not bankrupt! If you want a space that can actually hold an RV without your neighbors right on top of you this would be my choice in parks. 50 amp service. There are actually 3 restaurants and a bar on site and one is gourmet quality. The park is NOT in the heart of PP but the oceanfront sites are great! We will return to the Reef next season!
I also now like staying at the Reef . I use to stay at the Playa del Oro but I had to rent two spots in order to have the room I needed to open my four slides .I played heck backing into those tiny spots with all the trucks parked on the side of the road .I do not miss that at all . The Reef has ample room for backing up your rig and plenty of room to park your truck in the same spot as the RV .I think the Reef is the largest RV site in PP .
