Well the days are getting longer and we're getting ready to roll. Booked a week in Maine, at Pinederosa Campground on some advice from friends... Wondering if anyone has had any experience here and if you care to share.
Have not stayed there, but this is a great area to visit. The campground is quite a ways from the beach, but there is beach parking($) and I think the trolley goes to or near the site. Don't miss taking a walk in the Rachel Carson wildlife area up the road in Ogunquit. Oh, and if you want an interesting dining experience try the Maine Diner.http://mainediner.com/

Don't know if it has changed since the last time I was there, but parking near the bay is tough. The cops wouldn't let you drive loops around the parking lot waiting for a space - sent you back through town. Still, well worth a visit - a pretty but touristy location.
We camped there at the end of June in 2002. It was an okay campground. We wouldn't stay there again. There was nothing special about it except it was close to downtown Ogunquit. We felt like outsiders with all the French Canadians, but I guess you'll fit right in
When we stayed there the showers were pay showers. Never encountered that at a campground before or since. I think it was like 6 minutes for 1 quarter. The staff was friendly back then, looks like it is still owned by the same folks.
We love Ogunquit and all the small towns along Route 1. We like to drive up to Freeport or further north and stop in some of the small towns.
