Yep, just checked it. With plugged into shore power, if I set to use the lights come on and I have 12v to lights. Switch to Store, light goes out and no more 12v.

AstroRig57- Yep that's what I have!

I got the RV home last night and plugged it in to see if I could reset the GFI but nope that didn't fix anything. All of the outlets did work once it was plugged in though. I checked all of the fuses/breakers once again to be sure I didn't just miss anything and that wasn't the case. It was a very LONG weekend in the RV....

I don't have anywher to plug the actual RV into so it would switch to the generator like the service guy and some on here thought. I have some sort of switch and the service guy thinks that switch might be bad? It is now with the service guy and they are going to take a look and see what the issue was. I'm hoping it isn't anything too crazy.

Have you checked the shore power plug where you are plugging it in for AC for proper wiring?

Nope, I didn't checked anything other than the GFCI outlets and breakers/fuses. I'm just waiting to hear back from the service guy to see what it is. Hopefully it's just something easyish for them to fix.

The service guy called. It was the transfer switch that went bad. It will get fixed this week. Thank you everyone for all of your help and ideas!

Once you find out more, post back with details. Since I have a similar rig, would like to know exactly where this transfer switch is. Is it something in the convertor?

I was told I should be able to pick it up on Wednesday since they had to order the part. They are also going to show me the house batteries so I can change them. The service guy said that he could do a load test on them but judging by the nasty half gone oil that was in the generator and the lack of air in the air ride suspension bags I'm thinking these weren't changed either.

Nagel~I'll find out where it is when I pick it up and post back so you have the info.

Thanks
Samantha

Don't be surprised by things that need, or will need, fixing in a an RV that's old enough to vote. In our old rig, the previous owner's son did some innovative rewiring and water leak fixes that needed redoing. You need to avoid spending so much money on repairs and replacements that you feel compelled to keep it to get your money's worth out of it. Old rigs don't sell for much more than $5000 regardless of how much new stuff you install.

Thought about it but wasn't sure there was one present in that vintage. I suppose that'll be the next thing to fail on mine. Converter already replaced.

Mine is labeled on the box "AutoSwitch". sits next to the converter. Mine is under the rear seat of the dinette (your mileage and location will probably vary)...
