Oh, and don't buy the cheap limo dark tint, it will turn purple after a few years. Buy the good stuff.

Did mine on my other 5ver...take your time. Cut the film so it matches the outside of your windows....use a lot of soapy water.

You have to be very careful, so if you're not a detail oriented person, I would say find someone who is.

Detail oriented, patient, etc. If that doesn't apply to you, get it done somewhere.

Flat glass is very easy to tint, it's trimming the tint to size and taking your time that is the deal breaker. I'm planning on doing mine, but I've done a few cars in the past and other odds and ends, so I've got a bit of experience.

Really need to get mine done.

My wife and I did our 32' fiver with the Gila film (available from Home Depot). Key words in that sentence "My wife and I". Don't do this alone. We both sat and watched the video they have online on how to do this. Then we took our time. Started with the smaller windows. The one big window in the back -- well we had to have our teenage daughter help us with that one. 19 individual pieces of film took us about 12 hours to do. We got their installation kit, plus a bunch of coffee filters and some generic brand baby shampoo. I doubt that a professional would have done it much better -- just faster.

If your gonna try it yourself get some good film. Depending on how much sun hits your camper the cheap film will fade(adhesive breakdown)most cheap films are full of dye. Try a local tint shop, see if they will sell you some film. I would use Suntek(carbon series) pm me if you can't find any and I can help you out. Jeff

I owned a tint shop for 9 years and offered lessons for a couple of those years......

The one pointer that I would offer is......get yourself about a quart sized spray bottle and put a tablespoon of joy or similar dish washing liquid in it.......fill it up with water........you want a nice slippery solution for wetting your film......don't be afraid to use some water..both on the glass and on the tint.....once on the window............spray the inside of the tint.....you want to be able to move the tint around without it sticking prematurely.......

Get yourself a snap off knife.......Olfa makes the best......Keep your cutting edge fresh......

use a wallpaper spatula for making cuts.....

Look for this kind of squeege......for pushing the water and bubbles out.........

The last piece of advice........use a fresh single edge razor blade to and your soap solution to clean the glass......

Since 96Bounder is giving away Pro tips, I will add one;

Separating the backing from the tint can be impossible to get started. Take a corner, clinch it between your front teeth and grind it back and forth.

We used the scotch tape trick on our Gila film.
