Come on guys, that's an AWD vehicle, it can go anywhere right?? But in all seriousness though, I own a WRX STI and they're a lot of fun to drive on pavement, wouldn't want to take mine off the beaten path, I have other toys for that.

You do attract them don't you?

Good on you for being the hero, and for being sober enough to help the guy! Lord knows someone wanders into my camp late at night and doubtful many would have the marbles to do much good, he might be sleeping the night next to the fire (been there done that).

Last Friday night Derwud and I were sitting around the fire at Stevens Mine Road when a young guy in his early 20s walked up and said, "I'm coming into your camp. Don't shoot me."

That's an attention getter.....

Several years ago a lost hunter walked into our camp at dark with his rifle slung over his shoulder. He was cold, tired, lost and scared. Not nearly as scared as the women in our camp were when he appeared out of no where carying a rifle. I've never forgotten that and I'd say this kid had the right idea on how to enter a camp.

Oh man that's a great story and I can relate somewhat to it and the Subaru. My 18 year old son has a lifted 2003 Ford Ranger with 33's he halls his dirt bike in to go riding. He bought it for that and so he could get back and forth to college and work. Because he drives 30 miles back and fourth to school he's been looking at a used Subaru to traid or buy and sell his truck for better gas milage. We've been back and forth on this with him for a while now as we told him we didn't want to deal with another used car right now. One of the items was what would he do if his friends went riding and he couldn't because he didn't have his truck. He said he would drive out in the Subaru and just hang out with them. Man I can't wait to show him this and the picture. Yep that would be something my son might do. What a crack up. Thanks for sharing this. Couldn't of come at a better time for us.

Tell your boy to put some decent tires on that Subaru if he plans to use it as a rally car, because those slicks were worthless.
