According to the news I've heard, the mid-air collision last night between 2 military helicoopters occured on "federal land north of Yuma" - I know there's hundreds, if not thousands, of RVers out there. Did any one see/hear anything? We're at Mittry Lake and did not hear anything. Does anyone know more specifically where it happened?
In any event, our thoughts are with the families of the aircrews.

Map shows where we've lived and worked, travelling through doesn't count....
The news tonight said the accident occurred in the Chocolate Mountains, which are located in the Imperial County and Riverside County, NW of Yuma, Az. About 30 miles further east of these mountains is another set of Chocolate Mountains, but in Arizona. To make matters even more confusing, the military conducts training operations out in the Barry Goldwater Range, which is south and east of Yuma. All of these ranges have very similar terrain and are close together.
