With the crazy winter weather we have been having up here we decided to head for the lake.
The problem was it was slightly frozen.
We pulled into our camp spot at Algonquin park and I started to get things set up.
A man can't be without the handyman's secret weapon. No not duct tape, it's winter up here and it does not stick. This is what I am talking about.
After a bunch of rolling around, cutting, fitting and fighting I ended
up with this.
That is a small micro furnace and tv hanging there. I put a tarp over the tent as well to cut down any wind. I had hardly finished when the mob rushed in and put a movie on.
The rest of the weekend went well, we even were able to go on the first annual Algonquin park winter wolf howl,About 200 people attended and made the after dark 1 mile trek into the bush.
We even had time for some outside fireside dinner.
At the end of it all everyone was warm and no water lines or tanks froze up. We were happy.

Looks like everyone had a good time. Kids appear to be having a blast. But I'm sure glad it was you guys there instead of me. To me that looks like NFAA (no fun at all!!) TOO MUCH SNOW AND WAY TOOOOO COLD!!!! But to each his own. Thanks for posting the pics. Gary
You folks are a hearty bunch. Thanx for the pix. I've HAD to dry camp in NW PA and western NY during the winter on a few occasions in my Lance. But, being a native Floridian, I just couldn't get into it as a hobby. Travel safe.
I salute your adventuresome efforts! Your girls will always have a fond memory of this trip and will hopefully instill in them that same kind of spirit.
