Funny Camper,
I have been speaking with the importer/manufacturer about other colors. They seem reluctant to change. Seems pretty dumb to me. I mean Bright Red as the ONLY available color? Whose decor does that match? White/Off White Black...seems like common sense.

TRUE!
They manufacture a much larger unit on a stand...looks like the big dady version of the small one and it comes in 8 colors.
of course, since the housing is metal (like on an inexpensive BBQ) you could easily paint it whatever color you like.
But you shouldn't have to!

I do have concerns about the wires in the motor home.. Back before I took steps to prevent it sometimes my wife would plug into the wrong outlet, instead of the dedicated 20 amp, 12ga fed, I put in specifically for the heater she'd hit the OEM 15 amp next to it (NOTE that they are a different color to make it very easy to tell the difference, BLACK is the high power, the low power is white)
Within an hour I'd smell hot wires.
Not a good thing.
I never smell hot wires when she plugs it in right (Some duct tape over the 15 amp made it hard to plug in there)
Nothin adds excitment like something that is none of your business

I use 2, set to low (600w). The furnace is used to supplement the electric heaters, if/when power fails.

Hi,
I don't use ceramic--I prefer thin wall and 1/2 size oil filled units.

I use a Pelonis NTK15A, Ceramic Safety Furnace, White as my primary heat source. I have a 2nd one, NIB, as a backup. I have it sitting 4 inches above the floor on a stainless steel (tent camping) cook pot that has a flat, locking cover - to raise it a little above the cold air sinking to the floor. When it is below 41F outside I run it on High (1500W) with temperature set to max. When it can't keep up, I use my propane furnace as a seconday heating source - to maintain 65F at night and 70F during the day. Above 41F I set the space heater to Low (1000W) and I reduce the tempurature setting. This little space heater can easily bring the temp inside the rig to 85F (relative to the outside tempurature). If I leave it on High in the morning and it gets to 55F-60F outside then it can be 80F in the rig when I return - and I end up running my Fantastic Vent to dump heat. I wish it had a real thermostat.
When I run my 1600W hair dryer, I turn off the space heater until I'm done. My MH is 30 amps. I don't feel like overtaxing the system - or risking overtaxing the system.
