I am going to pulling a 1984 S10 4x4 with a Tow Bar from Washington to California. I plan to pull both front and rear driveline for the trip and wire in some trailer tow lights.

My question is on the safety chains do I hook them up to the tow bar like a normal trailer or do they have to go back to the truck?

Safety chains attach from vehicle to vehicle, preferably frame to frame.......Dennis
