I have been shopping for a air compressor like this. What did it take to modify the MV1050 for a standard air quick connect fitting? Did you just run a 1/4 inch NPT tap into the hole? I understand the threads are different and not standard.

I tapped out the hole with a 1/4" pipe tap. No drilling needed. Be sure to clean all the chips out after tapping.
I replaced a wheezing Hadley air pump (for my airbag system) with one of these. Simply tapped the weird sized inlet and outlet then connected standard fittings. It's mounted permanently where the old one was.
Mine works okay but is very hard on fuses once it is hot. I leave it running in between connecting to tires. If I shut it off before hooking onto the next tire and then start it up most of the time the fuse blows. Otherwise it's meeting my needs.
