Questions - a few years ago I read in this forum that when people visited Organ Pipe Nat'l Mon that they cell phones (Verizon) automatically connected with a cell tower in Mexico and they were charged international roaming fees.
Has anyone been to Organ Pipe recently and used their Verizon cell service? Did you have to contact Verizon for a specific tower connection or did it automatically connect with a US tower.
Don't remember specifically about organ pipe area, but the same thing has happened several times to us when we were in and around Bisby AZ. In the past Verizon has always been very good about reversing the charges.

Thanks for the reply. So did you just call Verizon after the fact & let them know that you were still in the US?
