Nothing to hear but peace & quiet. You are up on the mountain overlooking river/Asheville. North side of Asheville just minutes from grocery/restaurants, etc

Have to agree with Lakewood in Flat Rock. Staryed there for 2 years and by far the best in the area. Also stayed at Rutledge Lake in Fletcher, but you are packed in and on weekends it is crowded and very noisey. Lakewood has bigger sites, very clean and caters to "adult" crowd. Facilities are nice, exercise room, pool table, game room, big screen TV, on site laundry, pool, can get a mail box there depending if you want, and on site owners who do a great job of managing park. Be careful of some of the parks in the area as their websites look good, but the park is another story in real life. Lakewood woould be good location for the area you are looking at and is easy access to Hendersonville and interstate without some of the traffic problems of some of the other parks. PM if you have any other questions.

Steve,
My parents lived a couple miles outside of Brevard in Connestee Falls, and loved the Brevard area. Brevard has a nice downtown area, lots of outdoor recreation in the area, and heading in any direction from Brevard there are plenty of places to experience and enjoy. The Brevard College also provides a lot of liberal arts activities for the area as well.
As mentioned there are CG's around the area, and I do recall a CG located between Hendersonville and Brevard (off route 64, on a small lake), but don't recall the name.
