I am retiring next month from the Navy of 22 years. I have a new JOB in GUAM. I live in Georgia right now but have to move next month. I will be there for 3 to 4 years.
I need to stow my Flagstaff bunkhouse 31' long. I want to cover it. I have someone that will check it every month to ensure the cover stays on and is still in good working order. I also would like to put it up on Jack stands along with the stabilizers it already has. All tanks are empty and flushed out. Water heater is empty and Batteries are pull out. Am I missing anything here except that I will need to change my user name to Retired soon? LOL

Good luck with everything but I'd sell the trailer and eliminate the hassle.

Congratulations on your retirement and new job. Also, thank you for your years of service.
If you're storing your RV for a long time I would make sure all the roof seams are sealed. My choice would be Eternabond.
Did you consider selling and buying another RV upon your return?

Did you winterize it?
These things really do not do well sitting for long periods of time. Might be a better idea to sell it for what you can get out of it, and purchase again when you return. Never know what will happen in the next three years. Your Guam tour could end up 5 years, then what?

Are you paying for storage? Or is it free? Would make a difference to me on whether to keep it or sell and buy another.
Tires sitting for 3-4 years may need to be replaced. Tires need to be "exercised" occasionally to keep the rubber in good condition.
Toilet seal may dry out and need to be replaced.
Everything else would probably be ok as you have it assuming you have removed any perishables from the fridge and pantry.

I would be concerned about moisture/humidity leaving it stored long time. I try to go open mine up at least once a month, even i. f I am not using it, and leave the door open to prevent any chance of getting musty odor. It was especially important to do to my older TT. If you store, you need a dehumidifier or lots and lots of absorbent, and someone to empty regularly.

Another vote for selling it. You can get another when you return.
