I wasn't sure if this was a 5vr topic or general ?
When you are hauling your unit how do you get thru tight corners, turns roads in towns? What are you using for GPS? We like to go to Coudersport PA but we have to go thru Punxy which the roads and corners are tight. We never had an issue with the TC but some roads seem like they may be challenging with the Raven. Any ideas, suggestions or helpful tips are greatly appreciated.

X2. I would also say if you are turning on city streets, GO SLOW. No need to be in a hurry. You want to avoid hitting any curbs, poles, parked cars, etc. so just take it slow. It seems that when 5th wheels hit something it is because the driver is trying to go faster than he should, not allowing for either fast or delayed response of the 5th wheel. It reacts differently on left hand turns and right hand turns. Right hand are the worst for me. LOL.... But I find if I go slow, it makes it a whole lot easier.

Here are the instructions from the Illinois Rules of the Road, Non-CDL
Turning
The space around a truck or bus is important in turns. Because of wide turning and off- tracking, large vehicles can hit other vehicles or objects during turns.
Following are rules to help prevent right-turn crashes:
Turn slowly to give yourself and others more time to avoid problems.
If you are driving a truck or bus that cannot make the right turn without swinging into another lane, turn wide as you complete the turn (Figure 1). Keep the rear of the vehicle close to the curb; this will stop other drivers from passing you on the right.
Do not turn wide to the left as you start the turn (Figure 2). A following driver may think you are turning left and try to pass on the right. You may crash into the other vehicle as you complete your turn.
If you must cross into the oncoming lane to make a turn, watch out for vehicles coming toward you. Give them room to go by or to stop. However, do not back up for them, because you might hit someone behind you.
The figures don't copy, but they show you should not swing left before making the turn, but go straight into the intersection and turn into the oncoming lane if necessary for clearance on the right.
We are 60' long and I can make some pretty tight turns. So just take it slow, it can be done.

As for GPS I prefer to use a laptop in the TV, you can use it for other purposes. Check email and such. And it seems to be a lot easier to update the software. Plus the screens and maps are a lot bigger than any dedicated GPS.
As for trusting them, I don't when you are off major routes. Especially in the back country for route finding. Always look at it's proposed route and be sure it has not made some boneheaded route selection sending you down an improved goat path.
IIRC some women followed the GPS directions out into the Mohave Desert where she and her young son got stuck in the sand. They didn't get rescued for several days. And there have been other examples of this.

Won't take long until you can just LOOK at a particular intersection and know if you can make the turn or not. The turn into my alley to get to my parking spot for the trailer requires that I turn between two utility poles set at the extreme corner of a 10 foot wide alley. Tight turns ARE possible as long as you recognize them in advance (and traffic cooperates)

Plain old Atlas/State Maps.....get a new one at State line Visitor Centers.
Then when in a town we go to local Visitor Center or Chamber of Commerce and get county maps.

GPS is Grrrreat! ..... have used GPS for many years and it rarely takes you to the wrong place... GPS can on occasion direct you to the wrong side of a divided highway, or down a dead end road that continues on the other side of a field, but watch the GPS the same way you would use a map - some common sense can help avoid some of these rare negative occurences. Remember you have control of the steering wheel, not the GPS. Used it constantly on 18,000 mile drive last year and only once did I find myself on that dead end road. It has saved us tons of time and finding our way around big cities on many occasions........ Much more detail too than any State Map... The new Rand McNalley unit which we just bought, will also help you avoid low underpasses (if necessary), high railroad crossings, and those tight corners. Plus! We have used it to find the local Pizza Hut many times in unfamiliar locations........ and Wal-Marts, etc......
