Looking at a few days Dead Horse SP & a few in the Needles area middle to late June. How is the climate then? Too hot yet?

We have been in the area before but those times were earlier in spring & the fall. Dead Horse is one of those very special places for us.

I was in the area in mid June last summer and it was in the 90's but not too hot to keep from enjoying the area. Dead Horse State Park was full - I would have loved to stay there - Beautiful!

We were there last June the weekend following the cool weather and it was 102. We cut our stay short and headed further North. Great area tho!

Also a big change was the bugs came out in force the hot weekend. We had friends that were there the weekend before and there wasn't any bugs. Take a good High count Deet bug spray with you. As posted earlier, it can be freezing or frying!

I was in the area last year mid-june and it snowed one night.

June is right in the verge - it can be cool or hot. We spent about a week in that area last June, and some days got hot - high 90's, but others stayed cooler. We were there in the middle of the month, and it does get hotter as you get closer to July.

It's a bit of a gamble (weather-wise), but we took that bet because it's such a beautiful area.

I have been there in June when it was very pleasant and very hot on other times. Cedar gnats are usually in full force during May, June and into July.

As has been said, it could be cool or hot. More likely hot - average for that time is mid-nineties.
