I was born and raised in Cincinnati and still live in a suburb, but both of my folks were born in the country near here. My Grandparents are long gone, but I still take a drive in the country every so often to see if the houses are still there, and they are. Kind of an anchor for me, as I still have the memories.
As far as Sunday drives, when I was a kid in the late 50's, nobody went shopping - everything was closed on Sundays. Time to visit relatives.
Retired and visiting as much of this beautiful country as I can.
