I've been going to Canada since 1999 fishing with a bunch of friends, (around 10 guys). We've always taken enough food for all of us for the week stay. Never had any problems (didn't take fresh potatoes), and never had any questions asked. However it's been a couple of years since I've gone. The only problem we had, was one year we didn't eat all the apples we took. Coming back to the US, the Customs people could see them in the camper shell, and pulled us over. When they came unglued about them, I told them we bought them in the US, and just didn't eat all of them. When I told them if it was a problem I'd pitch them, & they asked if we bought them in the US & I said yes, they let us go. We never had an RV with us when crossing, and we always crossed at International Falls.
