I'm not sure what they are hurting, but the coyotes, and snakes will eventually get rid of them.

I offered mine (ground squirrels) some rat bait bars (Havok - from the local farm store) and I haven't seen any of the critters around lately......

They love sunflower seeds. Get one 5 gallon bucket. One 1X4 3 foot long. One cup of sunflower seeds. Fill bucket 1/3 water. Place 1X4 inclined to top ofbucket creating a ramp.. Salt ramp with some sunflower seeds. Get a Mayo jar lid ((4" good)) and place seeds in the lid and float on top of water.
Let swimming lesson 101 begin!!

There climbing my trees and eating all the new growth, yes it's spring like here in the desert. Also they undermine plants and kill them, undermine the cement patios, etc, etc. That's what they are hurting. And no the snakes&coyotes will not get rid of them, maybe 10% of them.

A Ruger Mini 14 works great on ground squirrels. You kill them and gut them all at the same time. It does a good job at spreading the remains out for the other critters to eat.
