Had Tire failure on Interstate. Was sent to a Camping World Store in Roanoke Va.to get replacement for 2 rear tire's. No problem with Camping World their service etc were fine........But thay mounted 2 Goodyear G614 LT235/85r16 trailer tires on the passenger side. When I expressed my concern thay said Goodyear said that this was O.K. Has anyone used this tire on thier truck or motorhome and is it an acceptable practice. When I contacted Goodyear thay Said That a G614 is produced as a trailer tire. Thank You in advance.

What did Goodyear say about mounting this on a motorhome? They are built for different purposes and I would be interested in their opinion from a safety standpoint.

Curious, what Class A has tire that small? Also, I wonder what they meant but them being trailer tires. The LT suggests light truck and trailer tires are designated as ST.
A bit confusing.

Yes! A bit Confusing. The tires are on my 95 vectra (Ford). The Invoice says trailer Tire and Goodyear said the same. But sidewall and invoice show LT. My concern is the safety of this tire when applied this way

My 14K 5'vr came with G614's as OEM tires.
Many people upgrade from a ST to an LT tire......due to problems with ST's.
Is the G614 the same size and load rating as the other tires that were on your rig? If so...don't see a problem. The G614's are a high pressure tire..110# MAX so are your rims high pressure rated also?

Thanks to Peaches/cream and old biscuit for their input. I called goodyear an asked if this tire was suited for this application. Their reply " this tire is produced for tralier service". When pressed for an answer as to useing this tire on a motor home thay repeated the same thing. So this is why i am concerned about this application. As far as tire spec's this tire is way more than the motorhome requires. I think I might just cut my loss an replace these tires with only 500mi's.

Don, I would be confused also since your not getting direct firm answers from Goodyear. Your profile states that you own a Vectra and every Winnebago Vectra I've seen comes with either 19 or 22's tires?

What size tire did they take OFF...?.. ....what size tires do you have on the OTHER side of the coach...?.......Dennis
