Between our cameras, GPS, specialized card readers and other electronic toys, we have 5 different USB cable ends. It's a pain to try to keep track of all these cables. We took my camera down to Mexico on holidays but we accidently took the wife's camera's USB cable. I didn't bother packing my card reader for the laptop figuring that I would just download the photos directly via USB. I wound up spending most of a day trying to purchace a cable that would work for my camera.
I've looked in the electronics stores but haven't been able to find a USB cable with a set of adapters that will plug into our various electronics. Does such a thing exist? It would sure make it easier than packing 5 usb cables wherever we go.

Yes, I've seen them in computer stores. Luckily, I got mine for free as a giveaway from AMD at a trade show.

After trying all of the local computer stores and outlets, I went online and found what I want. It's made by Emerge Technologies, part# ETCABLEKIT3.

The only retail store that I could find that carries them is Walmart, but only in the US not in Canada. I guess that I will have to order it through a mail order store out of the US. It cheap enough that I'll get a few so that I can have one at each computer at home and at work.
Thanks for all of your replies.

I found them stocked at BestBuy which is about 100 miles from here. They're listed at $14.95 at Walmart in the US., here at BestBuy $34.95. I think I'll wait til my next trip to Seattle and pick them up there.

On the Island, Best Buy is probably your best bet. That being said I once bought a USB cable, with several adapters, at Home Depot. I would not rule out that Walmart has something, but not listing it on-line.

Have you checked "The Source" there in Campbell River?

When someone tells you to buy the same rig they own, listen, they might be right. When they tell you to buy a different rig then they own, really pay attention, they probably know something you don't.

Yes, they exist - I have seen them with multiple connector tips that plug on and off a main cable, and I have also seen one cable with multiple connectors coming out of one end. MicroCentre sells them - in their stores and online. Look wherever you see computers, cameras, cell phones, and MP3 players sold. These cables show up in some of the most unlikely places including a little discount store that has been popping up in different areas called Five Below (everything $5 and under).
