Got a bit of a shock when I called Fantastic Vents to oder some parts.
On of my 2 vents does not open with the remote switch...close OK but the motor just runs trying to open.
I was told that it was a problem with trashed gears and he asked how my 2nd vent was behaving. I said it's OK but that I suspect if one is gone the other isn't two far behind. He said no problem I'll send out parts for both....$13.78.
Apparently this is for motors, lift arms, and etc. Than he said to call him when the parts arrive and he'll walk me through the repairs.
Still in a bit of a shock but definitly a story worth telling. Bearing mind the vents are 12 years old.

I just replaced the same parts on my two Fantastic fans for a shipping cost of $11.55 (probably a shorter distance). I was impressed, but when I posted the info I was told that Fantastic used to provide repair parts without even charging for shipping. Apparently now that they are owned by Atwood that policy has changed. My reaction was that any company that provides free repair parts for 12 year old units (that's how old mine was also) should be commended not criticized.
BTW, the repair is easy, but the attractive Beaver wood trim around our fans makes it a little awkward. However, I was able to do the repair without removing the wood or damaging it. You shouldn't have any difficulty.

What you paid for was the shipping. Their parts are guaranteed for life. I've never dealt with a better customer service. Thumbs up to that company they're GREAT!

Over the years I've always received great customer service; just recently two lift motors and arms for shipping only. In my response, I wrote that they should give the rest of the RV industry lessons on customer service. I wouldn't own any other fan product.

Similar experience here - 2 x's - on a '02 coach. First was at a rally, where they replaced the motor, lift arm, and screen. No charge. Recently, the fan was on the blink, so I called their customer suppport - talked to a tec - based on my description - needed to replace the controller on the wall. Paid $11.?? for shipping and the tec talked me through since the replacement was a bit different than my 10 yr old version. Great service!!!!!!!!!
