Our trailer has one of each kind: The one in the front bed area has a prop and screen and is clearly designed to be used as such. The one over the lower rear bunk has two latches on the bottom and swings out, however there is no prop to hold it open. I cannot see any way of making that one stay open from inside, so there's no point in trying to affix a screen over it.

I cut a piece of wood, angled on both ends to fit both window frame, and window. It is not in the way, and the screen pushes out effortlessly, If you need to get out.
