You only go around once. Do not screw it up cause of gas prices. When you are on the death bed you will wonder about that $200.00 you saved for some one else to enjoy instead of you.

From a rental perspective it's not stopping anyone. It's only Feb and we are almost booked solid for the summer. I have been turning so much business away just within the past week it's not funny. Really it's not, I may have to buy another unit.

That puts it in perspective for me. My dad in his last hours was so pissed he saved and saved so he could travel when he retired and then thought of a million reasons not spend the money. Then he had a stroke and his body and attitude went south fast. How much money do I need in the bank before I can die? My plan is to spend so when my time comes the balance sheet says $0.00.

Absolutely! This is one of the best pieces of advice to keep in mind! I pretty much live by that rule. (keeping finances and priorities in perspective of course).

I wish some one would cancel their Yosemite summer plans. I have not been there in 3 months and want to go again.
Stay home and save money and you just might wake up and find you are dead. I cant take the chance.

Diesel or gas prices will not stop us from traveling on our coach, but I am glad that we are platnium members at 1000trails, we know we can stay 21 days continues for nothing and go out and enjoy what ever is around the area. Then move to the next preserve for another 21 days. By staying 21 days at a time it saves you from spending so much on fuel traveling contantly. Like they say to slow down and enjoy and smell the flowers. But don't park your coach just because of fuel prices. Just make an adjustment on how you travel. We love our coach and have had great times in it.
Now we just got back home from San Diego and are planning already our next trip.

As evidenced by the responses to the many related threads recently, you can see people are concerned about rising costs fuel being the one that is setting the barometer. weather we stay close to home, opt for more time at each site, look at a seasonal site, spend less on eating out and other things, it is sure that a great many of us have the rising costs in our sights. The rising cost of fuel is certainly creating concern and probably a loss of revenue that some depend on for their living. Those that have to spend more for fuel are giving up something else to keep the balance. In the past there seemed to be increases in paychecks that kept or outpaced fuel and other costs. When the fuel costs go up quick and drastically it leaves a hole in you pocket or bank account. With so many having to live to a much tighter budget it is getting hard to allocate the funds to our hobbies.
