Thanks for the replies guys. I was thinking of going with the wafer looking one that Netboy posted. That just seems to make more sense to me in that all the light is directed down.

Oh, yeah, if you are going to use it in a ceiling light, and your fixture has room, go with panels like these that include the 921 wedge base adapter:

As discussed in earlier posts, there are many variations on these panels. I went with 6x8 arays (48 each 1210 LEDs) in warm white for my ceiling lights, and am very pleased with the results. Another choice would be a panel of 24 5050 SMD LEDs (the 5050 modules put out more light than the 1210 SMDs).

Most of these panels come with double back foam tape on the backside.

I did the same, they are moving a lot volume off of this thread. The shipping response was: "via Asia airmail. It usually takes approximately 12~17 days to receive your order, not including weekends and holidays".

Hopefully the LED's will be in before the end of the month so that I can use them while in Yosemite. I need to save power to run the heater.

I just ordered 10 of the led 24 5050 SMD with the ba15s light range 300-3500. I think they will give off about as much light as the 36 1210. paid a little more for the 5050 but wanted the ba15s adapter. Now I need to replace the 1141 bulbs in the reading lights on each side of the bed. Any sugestions there.

Just get on eBay and search for: (1141,1156,ba15s) led

That will find all LED items that have either 1141 or 1156 or ba15s in the title.

Thanks for this thread. I bought a dozen of the 48 smd led's for my Sunline. They're pretty bright and I'm pleased with the low power usage.

Wow, those look really bright, UP! I'm liking the look of your birch paneling, did you put any finish on it?

What's funny is that birch paneling is the cheapest plywood panel you can find here at $8.69 a sheet. I'm rolling on a coat of water based poly to both sides.

Beware of some those cheap LED panels. I have had several fail after a few hours (or be DOA on arrival.) Obviously have a single LED dome light in your coach fail isn't a big deal but if you are doing other more important lights it might be worth it to you spend a few more dollars on a better quality product.

This company makes some amazing products and certainly have much better quality control than the E-Bay / Chinese sellers:

Wow, got my LED lights today, the 36 led boards. Had to fiddle with the contacts on the flat 921 adapters to get some of them to work but they are all in and doing a great job. The light is a warm white like the bulbs they replaced and are at least as bright. I'm so pleased with them that I just ordered another 10 to finish the trailer. (Actually I need 12 but I will just use some of the round style I bought to test with.
