Sorry had Jury Duty today, had to do my part...was picked for a civil trial
Here is a picture of the current cam.

I need this to be about 1/4 inch longer to catch the lip on the inside of the door.

If you have the old cam locks that came off of it then there's a chance you can take those cams off and put them on the new ones. If the old cams did not secure with a screw but looks like they have been pressed on then if you have a grinder just grind down where they have been pressed down at and there's a good chance it has the same square knockout. Or head to your local lock shop and they should be able to sell you some longer cams.

I have the same problem with the basement door. Over time it looks like the camlock moves up in the oval hole in the door. I just loosened the lock and re-positioned it lower down so the it latched in the frame. It would be better to have 1/4" longer latch and when I find one I'll change over (or replace the whole lock assemble). I have had to so this 2x.

Check Home Depot or Lowe's. They have cam locks, too.

There are a lot of mfg and importers of cam locks..They use different size squares on the back of the cylinder to attach the cams..Common cams lengths of up to 2 1/2" are usually readily available..
I am not familiar with this vendor, but a search brought up his page..
This item is what is needed on panels that are not solid, will hold the camlock in place..
