Are you on Facebook. I am and everyday I feel like it is such a waste of time. I have a nephew who was in Iraq as a civilian contractor and he'll be going to Afghan. or perhaps North Dakota soon. (I'm trying to sway him toward ND). I joined Facebook to stay in touch with him and its been great to be able to hear from him every day or so and I've 'friended' a few people but usually things that are posted just make my head hurt!
Am on facebook, been there a few years. Takes awhile to get to use it well. Our large family uses it to keep in touch. We have 189 relatives using it. With some in Iraq, Afghanistan, Korea, Okinawa, Japan, and other countries plus most of the states, including HI and AK... We can pass photos around to all by just posting one once. Read all messages from Family members in the Family Page. All my five kids, seventeen grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren are using Facebook.
Then have other Friends we have met over the years on a Friends Page, former army buddies, bikers from clubs across the country I used to ride with. Friends from Thousand Trails that we met around the country. Then we get news from the official "Thousand Trails" page, and chat with friends on the Thousand Trails and Outdoor World page.
If you do not like someone who "friends" you just unfriend or block them, just click on their name, to access the command to block. If you set your account to allow only those related or friends no one can send you a message. Like learning to use RV.NET, its just different, not difficult.

Yes and use it many times to reach members of our congregation. Often their needs are not communicated to the right people and I'm able to understand the need and get them help.
It can be a good resource if used correctly and is not much different from some of the RV Forums except Facebook used the right way is more personal and effective.
Nope, not on it. Don't believe in it. Way too much info floating out there that can be stolen or used the wrong way. The Air Force taught me that.
Tell your nephew he would love Minot!!! BUT, it does get COLD there for a LONG period of time. But the people are as warm as the weather is cold. We loved every minute of it.
