Been fortunate enough to have any warranty/extended warranty work done at the two local dealers where I bought my previous 5th wheels and didn't have any issues with either one. A friend bought his 5th wheel from a dealer which has no service department and saved some $$. He soon found that to get anything fixed he was low man on the totem pole when he visited dealers to have work done. He has since found and independent RV shop that takes care of him in a timely manner with reasonable rates.
Noticed that my current dealer (waiting for delivery on a Vista 26P) is a member of the Route 66 RV Network. The networks claims that "No matter where you travel, there's a network of dedicated, service-minded independent RV dealers to help you if you ever need service or repairs on the road. So you can travel with confidence, knowing that "like home" service is available at any ROUTE 66 member dealer. Currently over 150 locations nationwide and growing."
Have no experience dealing with a Route 66 RV Network dealer (hope I don't need to find out) ...
