I would like to replace my stock tires with a more durable Lt tire. They have to fit my 20" rims. Any recommendations??

HI,
I use a all steel Michelin RIB tire, that has much stiffer steel sidewalls, not the softer polyester sidewall tires. It really helps in preventing the trailer from "Pushing" the back of the vehicle around and into corners when going down hills on a 2 lane road.

Try Nexen tire, LT truck tires. They look pretty darn good. I have a 2012 with Michelin and am not happy with the results so far. My last 2010 truck with Michelins' made it only 60k and had 3 leakers. Today's Michelin is not yesterday's Michelin.

I have had several sets of the BFG AT's and they come in about every size imaginable including 20's. That said, I have also had Toyo Open Country AT's. For mild off road, snow etc I have had very good luck with both, and they are fairly quiet too. But the BFG AT seem to wear a bit better and longer. Just make sure and spring for the Load Range E vice D. You may not NEED Load Range E, but they will wear so much better!
Good Luck!

BF Goodrich now on both the truck and trailer, on my last truck I had Michelins and the sidewalls were all cracked up long before the tread wore out, and were only 3 years old. I agree you pay alot for the name and now they are not the same tire they used to be.

A good tire shop will check whether your wheels are capable of handling the higher
pressures of the next higher class tire than what comes with most half ton trucks
If not, best to check the wheels yourself, as it mandated to have the PSI rating
somewhere on the wheel, along with the rest of the wheel spec's
