BILLKINYON I see you are new member to this forum. Let me be one of the first to welcome you. Also I would like you to know that posting your messages using capital letters is not appropriate and is considered to be "shouting".
We have lots of acreages of Sugar Beets in the area around Loveland and Greeley. What type of work will you be doing? I assume you would be hauling beets and I have riden with my friend who does that during the season.
I don't know anything about the RV parking at the Fairgrounds in Sidney but do visit Cabelas when near Sidney.

For information, contact:

Richland County Fairgrounds
PO Box 1026
Sidney MT 59270

Phone 406.433.2801
Fax 406.433.7466

Jamie Larson, Fair Manager
email: jlarson@richland.org

The website shows 40 camping spaces, but I couldn't find any other information. There does seem to be a lot going on in the August/eptember time frame, so those psaces may be at a premium during harvest!

i am going to be working the harvest this year in sidney montana. they pay almost $12.00 an hour /12 hour days for 17 days and overtime for sat. and sun. they have us staying for free at the fairgrounds. i was just wondering if there are some people out there who have stayed there. the hire rv couples to do this, as they are dependable and trustworthy. they have about 250 people for sidney and 3500 people for north dakota working this year.

I think you're a little late for the 2010 harvest.

BTW...CaPs Is NoT ShOuTiNg...after all these years I have yet to hear any noise come from the computer when people are typing...guess some people just dont have anything else better to do...

If the pay is $12/hr for a 12 hour days for 17 days in a row does that include a full hookup site for your RV?

Are you sure on the pay rate, seems pretty skimpy as they were getting that 5 years ago in the red river valley. Another thing you might want to think about is the upswing of traffic out there do to the oil boom. I was hauling machinery through that area in 2008 during the harvest and roads are narrow and rough and very congested and that was no oil boom at that time. It's you choice but I would look at the Red River Valley area less traffic better wider roads. Good Luck

YES THE PAY IS 11.74 PER HOUR. THE WORK IS APPROX. 17 DAYS AND THEN SAT AND SUN ARE OVERTIME AND THEY HAVE MORE THEN ONE SHIFT. SO IF YOUR UP TO IT. I UNDERSTAND YOU CAN WORK ALL YOU WANT.MY WIFE AND I ARE BOTH WORKING TOGETHER AT ONE SHIFT. THEY LIKE COUPLES AND THEY WORK 12 HOUR SHIFTS. I FEEL LIKE ITS GOING TO BE ROUGH CAUSE IM 68 YRS OLD. BUT ITS ONLY 17 DAYS. IM JUST TRYING TO PAY OFF A CREDIT CARD. THEY PROVIDE A SPACE TO PARK AT THE LOCAL FAIRGROUNDS. ELECTRIC AND WATER - NO SEWER, BUT THEY HAVE A DUMP STATION, THE WATER IS JUST TO FILL UP YOUR FRESH WATER TANK. I THINK WE CAN ROUGH IF FOR 17 DAYS. AND AFTER 12 HOURS WORK I WILL JUST FALL TO SLEEP MOST LIKELY.
