I recall the show on when I was a teenager. The Monkees and Davy Jones made many pleasant memories for baby boomers. Only 66 years old.
RIP Davy.

You know you're getting old when the ones who die are younger than you.

He was the CUTE one - had SUCH a crush on him in Middle School :-) I just saw him on a special about the Monkees - and he looked and sounded really good, too.

Yes, they were one of my favs too...and Davy was soooooooo cute!!! Who didn't have a crush on him?? I'm sorry to hear of his passing.
I have to share that a couple years ago our DGD, who was about 3 at the time, was riding with us and we were listening to the "oldies" radio station. When "I'm a Beliver" came on she said, "The Shrek song!". DH didn't know what she was talking about but her "hip" GM did!!! LOL!

Get a usb turnatable that converts them into mp3 format, then you can listen either on a cd or ipod.

yes ... it's so sad. AND how awful that such a nice, wonderful man who passed away gets the tiniest of blips in the media. BUT Michael Jackson is STILL in the news ... well, his Dr. is anyway. MONTHS Michael's drama was played out. Even Whitney Houston was all over the news for days on end. Drug addicts ... the both of them (Michale & Whitney) but if you're clean and sober and a good man ... nothing. Boring I guess. What a shame.
