I'm in need for some new shocks and I just started towing a 5'er 2 years back. So what shocks are you guys running on the 1 tons?
Bilstiens? Ranchos? Monroes?

Thanks

When I had a dually, 2 years ago I put on Munroe Reflex and found them to be much better than the stock shocks. They are identical to a Rancho model shock (Monroe own Rancho) and are made for trucks and towing.

Some reviews don't say they are very good, but that's subjective, I would buy them again.

X2, I tried Rancho and the Bils are much better. They are the only shock I have ever used that can control porpoising.

Are you guys using the standard Bilstein heavy duty shocks (F4's), or the 5100 performance ones? I plan on putting 2" leveling spacers in the front to level out the truck

I have rancho 9000s front and rear. I wouldn't have anything else on the rear cuz I can adjust them for any bad road when towing. I have no complaints about the fronts but bilstein MIGHT be better for the heavy diesel front end. Craig

With the 2" spacer I would go with the 5100.

Bilstein front and rear. One of the best bolt on upgrades I made.
